Did you see assault on Whitstable man?

Following an assault which left a Whitstable man with a broken jaw, police are still trying to trace the offender and have issued an e-fit picture of him.

The victim was standing outside the former Habitat store in Rheims Way, Canterbury, arguing with his girlfriend when a man ran past and punched him in the face before heading down the embankment towards Toddlers Cove.

Police say the couple were with another friend on Sunday 30th October at 1.20am when the incident happened. The Whitstable man was taken to hospital in Ashford.

Detective Constable Dave Wells describes the offender as aged 20 - 25, with short spiky hair and wearing a blue checked top.
