Enjoying Whitstable with babies and kids

Anyone who lives here knows Whitstable is a pretty child friendly town - but where are the best places to target if you're short of time?
-
My family at The Sportman, Whitstable - complete with baby!
Here's our guide to some of the most child-friendly venues in town.
This small gift shop may not look the most buggy friendly, but the staff always welcome children and will even hold your baby while you shop if you're lucky!
Not only do they have lovely lunches and cakes, but Howard's Kitchen are also very child friendly.
The staff are happy to welcome families and even don't mind groups of mums with buggies (or if they do they hide it very well!!).
If your lucky Howard's own lovely family might even pop in to say hi.
It seems like an obvious one - but as well as selling great kids' clothes and shoes (and providing children's haircuts), there's also plenty of room to look around with a buggy.
Further out of town but a lovely stroll with babies or kids in buggies, Jojo's are happy to accommodate well behaved kids in their cafe and main restaurant.
They don't have highchairs, but can accommodate prams and push chairs (check in advance in restaurant).
The best bit is they have an old butcer's block near the loos that doubles up as a baby-changing table!
Don't worry, they don't use it for food...
If you fancy a pint having children doesn't have to hold you bank, as long as you're sensible!
Despite the warning about no buggies being allowed, The Hotel Continental actually welcome families and will accommodate pushchairs where possible - even in the main restaurant.
While our Michelin starred restaurant may not offer children's meals, it is certainly baby friendly.
Warn them in advance you'll have a little one with you and they will make sure your table has enough room for everyone!
Where are you favourite places to hang out with your kids in Whitstable? Would love to hear your tips!

This is really useful, thanks! Just reviewed The Continental - we've taken the kids there a few times - but it's good to know there are a few more child-friendly places to try out.
