Injuries make matches even tougher for Whitstable

Injuries could not have come at a worse time for Whitstable Town FC, as they face the second of two matches against superior teams within a few days.

Whitstable Town have a tough match against Folkestone Invicta today.
With half a dozen players below par, Town manager Justin Luchford had to use all his substitutes in the match at Maidstone United at the weekend, and keep a couple of 'walking wounded' on the pitch.
It was expected to be a tough contest anyway, and in the circumstances the 4-0 scoreline was no surprise, but such a whitewash was a pity after a rare win for Town a couple of days earlier against Ramsgate.
- Today Whitstable Town are hosts to Folkestone Invicta in the Ryman League Division One South competition. Invicta currently sit fourth in the table, compared with Whitstable's 18th position out of 22. Maidstone is fifth.
- Luchford continues to make new signings for Whitstable, hoping for a turnaround in the club's results in 2012.
Comments
I hear Whitstable lost the match. On the plus side, it wasn't really a thrashing as Folkestone only scored one goal!
