Beach cafe decision today

The Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company's bid to build a cafe will be discussed by members of the Development Control Committee in the Guildhall, Canterbury. The plan is opposed by many local residents led by the Whitstable Beach Campaign, whose representative will speak at the meeting against the scheme.
Council officers have recommended refusal - see our earlier story.
Tonight's agenda includes other matters of interest for Whitstable, including plans to install two bridges for walkers and cyclists as part of the Crab and Winkle route.
