Vying for your votes - the local line-up

Thirty-nine men and women in Whitstable want your votes on Thursday to represent you on Canterbury City Council.

There are five wards in the Whitstable area, each represented by either two or three councillors.  If there are two councillors for your ward, you have two votes - if three, then you can vote for three people on your list. This will be made clear when you go to the polling station and are handed the list of candidates.

Here is the list of hopefuls for each of the five local wards (an asterisk indicates that this person is a current councillor seeking re-election - note that Cllr Jackie Perkins is standing for re-election, but in Harbour instead of Gorrell which she currently represents):
