Aladdin - he of the magic lamp - takes to the stage at the Playhouse Theatre tomorrow night in the Lindley Players' annual pantomime.

Performances run until the 29th January (except Sundays and Mondays) at 7.45pm, with additional matinee performances on both Saturdays at 2.30pm.

You can book tickets from this link or phone the box office on 01227 272042.

The panto kicks off a varied and exciting programme for 2011 at the Playhouse, with the Oyoyster comedy series offering such big names as TV comic Ed Byrne on 1st March, and Hattie Hayridge and Norman Lovett (Red Dwarf) on 7th February.

The next Lindley Players' offering is Female Transport, a play about six women deported to a penal colony in Australia, presented from 22-26th March, and which will be the Lindleys' entry in the Kent Drama Festival.
