  • Flower power above Sundae Sundae in Harbour Street.
  • Frank gift shop in Harbour Street used to be Lawson's stores, supplying tea and brooms!
  • Harbour Buildings at the end of Harbour Street now houses a holiday home.
  • This handsome building, now home to Prezzo, used to be the Bear and Key pub.
  • Bank buildings are often worth a second look. This is Lloyds TSB in High Street.
  • The diving lady is indeed Taking the Plunge at the bottom of High Street.

    We may not have the medieval buildings of Faversham, but there is plenty to admire in Whitstable's main streets if you lift your eyes from the shop fronts. Worth a look upwards next time you're out and about - but take care on our narrow pavements. I caused a bit of trouble this morning when taking the photos!
