The festival goes on until Friday BUT the finale fireworks will be the previous night (Thursday) so as not to 'clash' with the London Olympic ceremony (with more fireworks!) on Friday which people may want to watch on TV.
The Whitstable fireworks will be launched over the water between the Horsebridge and the Old Neptune pub.
This will follow the Blessing of the Waters and the illumination of oyster shell grotters on Reeves beach.
