There's no doubt that George knows what he's doing. Great atmosphere, buzzy and warm and friendly. The menu is always imaginative and innovative and the breakfast / brunch menu is the best in town, we think. The Gypsy Eggs are fantastic and very filling, so be warned! Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. We often send guests there if they don't have a booking at the weekend and more often than not, they get squeezed in, often at last sitting which many restaurants don't encourage. Great stuff!

I really like the fact the Samphire has a big breakfast/brunch menu that offers more than a fry up. There are semi healthy offerings such as porridge, but this week I had Eggs Forrester - like florentine but with mushrooms I think. It was excellent and no more expensive that most other places in town for brekkie.
We eat in Samphires and have coffee on a regular basis.
George is always smiling as is Lizzy one of the nicest waitresses ever. A refreshing change to have knowledgable interested staff serving 5 star food. The care in the kitchen with home made pasta and very local food make it a fab experience every time.

I ate here for the first time a couple of weeks back and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, lovely food and good service. They also have a weekday menu which is both delicious, affordable and generously portioned. They were really nice about my dinner partner's allergies and dietry requirements as well.
Yes, I agree Samphire is good. We have had a few meals there and never been disappointed. The early evening deal during the week is great value for those nights when you just don't want to cook yourself. Friendly service.

Had a meal at Samphire last night and the food was very very good. Good ingredients and well presented and the atmosphere was really bubbly too. Really reasonable prices and if you are looking for a great night out, try Samphire and have the brisket of beef - OMG!!
I have had many a "morning after" breakfast at Samphire and have to say that the food is great. I used to think that Maccy Dee's was the only cure for a hangover but Samphire has changed my mind. It was also where I took my now current girlfriend on our first date over a year ago so it holds a somewhat special place in my heart. The food is great, service is attentive but not over the top and the prices are reasonable. Great place to meet friends for coffee and lunch or for special occasions.
