    It's the last day to sign a petition calling for the Kent Freedom travel pass to be extended to sixth formers and held at the annual cost of £50. Click here to sign now. So far 4417 people have signed up since 21st January.
  • Schools' Christmas trees decorate Horsebridge Centre

    Whitstable Junior School's tree has an Egyptian theme.
    The staircase at the Horsebridge Centre is currently adorned with Christmas tree pictures produced by local schools. Six schools received cutouts of trees from the centre, which were then decorated by the children and returned to the Horsebridge. Those taking part were: Oyster Bay Nursery School, Whitstable Junior School, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed C of E Junior School, St Mary's RC Primary School, St Alphege C of E Infant School...
  • Whitstable to lead Cathedral Christingle service

  • Shock at teacher’s sudden death

    STUDENTS have been left devastated by the death of a teacher described by many as a legend. Gordon Starkey, who taught maths at the Community College, Whitstable, for many years, died suddenly at his home in the town on Friday. He was 52.
