General store and cafe combined, Windy Corner Stores has an easygoing atmosphere, pleasant staff, a bit of background music (interesting and not too loud), plenty of papers to thumb through, good coffee and tasty food: freshly prepared, hot and cold, savoury and sweet. Try a sarnie: the bread is highly recommended – and you can buy a loaf to take with you!

From what I understand there have been a few changes at the Windy recently, but it's still all good, if not better. What's especially great is that if there are enough of you it's available to hire for the evening with amazing food at great prices and byo. Brilliant value for money.
One of Whitstable's best little secrets - Toby bakes bread on the premises here which is used in the cafe and also sold by the loaf to customers to take home. Don't tell everyone, they'll run out and there will be none left for us! He also supplies the Whitstable farmer's market with his bakery goods.
