Taking the Plunge is a brilliant little gift shop that has been in business in Whitstable for 3 years. Taking The Plunge is situated on the High Street and offers a range of beautiful vintage gift items and unique greetings cards from fair trade and wonderful to bizarre gifts all at affordable prices.

The bestest gift shop in town ....

I've been shopping at Taking the Plunge for years now and they always manage to solve my gift problems! Taking the Plunge is typical of Whitstable - run by local, friendly people who source great gifts to sell at good prices. The sell a lot of Fair Trade goods plus stuff made locally. From "pretty" and "wonderful" to just plain "weird" there are things here you will just want to have. The staff are always friendly, the prices are good [London goods @ Whitstable prices!!] and just a nice place to mosey around. Thoroughly recommended!!

Plunge in for a good browse!

Lots of stuff in here for presents and for your home. Many of the things are locally made by hand. Wonderful browsing! They now have a fab website, too.
